Welcome to the AIA-EIC Website!The American Institute of Architects (AIA) - Eastern Illinois Chapter (EIC) is a chartered chapter of the American Institute of Architects in northeastern Illinois. Our chapter area includes the counties of Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, LaSalle, Livingston, Will, and a portion of southern Cook County that is outside of the city of Chicago and south of I-55. The chapter holds regular meetings, provides seminars and opportunities to earn learning units toward AIA membership, offers assistance on technical matters to owners, builders, architects and others, documents historic buildings, serves as a media for information exchange between members and the general public, and promotes the practice of Architecture within our Chapter area.

News and EventsThe 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is July 26, 2010. The DBTAC - Great Lakes ADA Center is celebrating the anniversary. Visit http://www.2010anniversary.org for sample proclamations, suggested activities, and events related to the anniversary. Also visit the DBTAC - Great Lakes ADA Center's website at http://www.adagreatlakes.org to view more information about the celebration of the ADA in the Great Lakes region. Join the AIA-EIC for their Summer Outing on August 7, 2010, or their Golf Outing on September 3, 2010. Click here for more information. The cost for each monthly meeting is $30.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members. Dinner is FREE for all members who are currently unemployed until further notice. Submit pictures to the yearbook.
