    About the AIA-EIC

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) - Eastern Illinois Chapter (EIC) is a chartered chapter of the American Institute of Architects in northeastern Illinois. Our chapter area includes the counties of Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, LaSalle, Livingston, Will, and a portion of southern Cook County that is outside of the city of Chicago and south of I-55.

The chapter holds regular meetings, provides seminars and opportunities to earn learning units toward AIA membership, offers assistance on technical matters to owners, builders, architects and others, documents historic buildings, serves as a media for information exchange between members and the general public, and promotes the practice of Architecture within our Chapter area.

ontributing to the Illinois Architects Political Action Committee is an important way to participate in the political process. Coupled with a positive and proactive lobbying approach, IAPAC plays an ever more important role in maintaining the visibility of architects in the governmental process.
AIA Illinois encourages chapter members to contribute the financial equivalent of one billable hour to make IAPAC stronger. Click Here to Support IAPAC Now.
